Don’t judge because you don’t know,

My past is something you will never understand.

I made mistakes but that was long ago.

I’ve lived a life with nothing to show,

I thought by now it would be more grand.

Sometimes we change and grow,

And often take a stand.

I had nowhere left to go,

And took it by the hand.

I sit trembling as though sitting in snow,

And everything is so bland.

It’s like life’s dealt me one final blow,

I don’t deserve this reprimand.
